Who doesnโt love a good biopic, especially about famous musicians? Surprisingly enough, these four rock musicians have yet to get their own biopics; but at least one of them is allegedly in the works. Letโs take a look at just four of the biggest rock stars that we believe deserve a solid biopic on the big screen!
1. Ozzy Osbourne
Biopics definitely donโt have to come about after a famous musician has died. After all, biopics about Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen are currently in the works. So why is it that the famed Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne hasnโt gotten his own movie? It would be fascinating to see the story of his younger years and rise to fame portrayed by a decent actor who looks like him and can nail his unique mannerisms. Few rock star lives would play out on the big screen as well as Ozzyโs.

2. Keith Moon
Keith Moon was the famed drummer of The Who, and heโs never had a biopic produced about his life. Itโs pretty shocking, to say the least. Moon had a whirlwind life, complete with a manic drumming style and a disposition for addiction once The Who blew up. He got really unhinged toward the end of it all, and a biopic at the very least could serve as a cautionary tale.
3. Janis Joplin
When it comes to famous rock musicians who deserve biopics, it looks like this one might actually happen very soon. According to recent reports, actress Shailene Woodley is set to star as the incredible vocalist from the golden era of psychedelic rock, Janis Joplin. This biopic is long overdue; Joplin had a rollercoaster of a life, and itโs hard not to sympathize with what she went through before and after attaining fame.
4. Syd Barrett
Syd Barrett was behind some of the most influential music of the experimental rock movement of the 1960s. He was probably the most famous member of Pink Floyd. And his life story is also probably the most tragic of the bunch. At the very least, we need a biopic to happen if only to honor the life of one of the most talented and unique songwriters of the 20th century, complete with his battles against mental illness and drug abuse.
