4 Vince Gill Songs That Will Dominate Country Radio Forever

Vince Gill is, without a doubt, one of the most loved voices in country music. Turn on any country radio station anywhere in the world, and you probably wonโ€™t have to wait very long to hear some of his greatest hits. That being said, there are a few standout charting hits from Vince Gill that are absolutely unforgettable, and they probably wonโ€™t leave the country music radio rotation for many, many years. Letโ€™s take a look at a few examples! You might just hear your new favorite Vince Gill song on this list.

1. โ€œTryinโ€™ To Get Over Youโ€

โ€œTryinโ€™ To Get Over Youโ€ was recorded back in 1992 and released in 1994. Itโ€™s a stunning little country tune from I Still Believe In You, and itโ€™s not exactly surprising that the song was a chart-topping hit.

Fun fact: โ€œTryinโ€™ To Get Over Youโ€ was Gillโ€™s last no. 1 hit single until a little over two decades later when he finally hit the charts again for his collaboration with Chris Young titled โ€œSober Saturday Nightโ€ in 2017.

2. โ€œWhenever You Come Aroundโ€

This has to be Vince Gillโ€™s most well-known tune. If not, itโ€™s certainly the first Gill classic I ever heard myself. โ€œWhenever You Come Aroundโ€ is a gorgeous co-writing effort between Gill and Pete Wasner. Itโ€™s so good, in fact, that the one and only Willie Nelson covered it in 2014. Naturally, this song made it to no. 2 on the Hot Country Songs chart. It even made it to the Hot 100 with all the other pop jams.

3. โ€œIf You Ever Have Forever In Mindโ€

This 1998 hit from Gill is one of many standout singles from The Key. โ€œIf You Ever Have Forever In Mindโ€ has a ton of accolades, too. It reached no. 5 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, made it to no. 1 in Canada, and nabbed a Grammy Award for Gill. Itโ€™s somehow classy and modern (for the 90s, at least) all at once, and it has aged quite well through the years. This oneโ€™s always on the radio.

4. โ€œFeels Like Loveโ€

Vince Gillโ€™s time in the spotlight didnโ€™t end in the 90s, and this radio hit from 2000 is just one of many gorgeous songs he produced in the new millennium. โ€œFeels Like Loveโ€ is a great single from Letโ€™s Make Sure We Kiss Goodbye. It made it all the way to no. 6 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, and it’s still got a lot of staying power.
