The recent buzz about a 2025 AC/DC tour was true! The Australian rock legends have just announced a 2025 North American trek in support of their 2020 studio album, Power Up. The cross-continent stadium outing is confirmed to stop in 13 cities.
The tour kicks off on April 10 in Minneapolis and is mapped out through a May 28 concert in Cleveland. Among the other locations the trek will visit include the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on April 18 and Soldier Field in Chicago on May 24.

Tickets for the concerts go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 6 at 12 p.m. local time. Fans hoping to score early tickets may want to check out a guaranteed online ticket marketplace, such as StubHub.
AC/DC’s lineup for the 2025 tour will be the same as it was for the band’s 2024 European outing. The group currently features founding lead guitarist Angus Young and longtime frontman Brian Johnson, as well as rhythm guitarist Stevie Young (Malcolm’s cousin), bassist Chris Chaney, and drummer Matt Laug.

This trek marks the first time AC/DC has toured North America since 2016. The last time the band played live in the U.S. or Canada was a one-off performance in October of 2023 at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California.
AC/DC has posted a trailer promoting the new tour on its social media pages. The video shows the various cities where the trek will visit displayed on road signs viewed from a vehicle traveling down a dark highway. The clip is set to “Shoot to Thrill,” from the band’s classic 1980 album Back in Black.
About AC/DC’s Previous Tour and the Band’s Lineup Changes
AC/DC launched its Power Up tour in 2024 with a series of European shows. The 24-date trek kicked off May 17 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and ran through an August 17 show in Dublin, Ireland.
The outing was AC/DC’s first to feature Laug and Chaney.
Laug’s first show with the band was at the Power Trip festival. He also has played with Tom Petty guitarist Mike Campbell’s current group The Dirty Knobs, as well as with Alice Cooper and Slash’s Snakepit.
AC/DC’s longtime drummer Phil Rudd played on the Power Up album, but the band hasn’t explained why he didn’t join them at the Power Trip gig or the ensuing tours. That being said, Rudd was replaced by former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade on AC/DC’s Rock or Bust tour in 2015 and 2016 because of Phil’s well-publicized legal issues.
Chaney was hired as AC/DC’s touring bassist earlier in 2024 after longtime band member Cliff Williams retired from the group. Williams last played with AC/DC at the Power Trip concert.
In February of 2024, AC/DC announced that Chaney had been brought on “to carry the torch for Cliff.” Chris had previously been a member of Jane’s Addiction for many years. He also had played in Alanis Morissette’s touring and recording band for six years, and was a member of the late Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins’ group Coattail Riders.
