Clayton grew up in rural Oklahoma surrounded by wide-open prairie land and classic country music. After years of chasing the dream of finding a place that felt more like “home” than the place where he was raised, he landed in Eastern Tennessee. Now, he’s living the dream in the embrace of the Great Smoky Mountains with good music, good people, and a pretty decent dog.
In a previous job interview, Clayton was asked where he saw himself in five years. Without hesitation, he answered, “Writing for American Songwriter.” So, I guess you could say things are working out just fine.
