Matt Hoggatt is a police detective, singer/songwriter and radio personality from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and 2012 winner of the American Songwriter lyric contest. Matt’s winning song, “Dear Jimmy Buffett”, eventually landed Matt a job with Jimmy Buffett as an artist on his record label and DJ slot on Sirius XM. Recording artist Jimmy Buffett gives the sign to "hang loose" after stepping off an SH-60 Seahawk, assigned to the "Dusty Dogs" of Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron 7, aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S.
