Ayron Jones Welcomes Adorable Young Son on Stage for “Duet”

Ayron Jones makes headlines.

The artist recently released his latest single, “Filthy,” to much acclaim. But not to be outdone by that release, Jones welcomed his young son on stage at a show over the weekend. The two wore matching “Filthy” hats and had matching guitars.

His son, of course, comes up to Jones’ knee. So cute. “Go little rockstar,” Jones wrote on Twitter alongside photos of the father-son moment.

The shredding six-string player has made quite the name for himself since releasing his LP, Child of the State, in 2021. Heโ€™s opened for the Rolling Stones several times already, but thatโ€™s not all. Heโ€™s toured the globe and earned millions of streams for singles like โ€œTake Me Awayโ€ and โ€œMercy.โ€

(American Songwriter also went behind the song and talked with Jones about another of his latest singles, โ€œSupercharged,โ€ which you can check outย HERE.)

โ€œThis has been a long time coming.โ€ wrote Jones on Twitter, hyping the upcoming release of the single prior to its release. โ€œI am SO STOKED to finally announce that new music is coming!! โ€œFilthyโ€ comes out Friday 8/26.โ€

In our previous conversation with Jones, the rocker opened up about new music and his at times-troubled past, including stories about his mother abandoning him at a young age.

โ€œThose abandonment issues really shaped my life,โ€ Jones told American Songwriter. โ€œItโ€™s hard to explain when something like that happens to you at such a young age. You donโ€™t know what youโ€™re going through.โ€

Jones, whose mother was 19 when he was born, grew up without his father and made money in often nefarious ways. His mother struggled with drug addiction. Later, an auntie took Jones in to live with her family. It was there that he discovered the power of music. He remembers hearing stories of him at three years old, glued to the television, watching James Brown, and getting his โ€œtoddler boogie on.โ€ He went to church regularly and heard the music there. His auntieโ€™s husband was also a musician, a touring percussionist. He served as the father figure in Jonesโ€™ life and demonstrated what a career in song could offer.

โ€œI looked up to him,โ€ Jones says, โ€œas a young man who didnโ€™t have a father in my life.โ€

So, for all these reasons and more, check out the new song from Jones on Friday. Itโ€™s sure to be a hit.
