Billie Eilish Gains Support From Finneas After Fans Label Her “Guess” Verse “Predatory”

In less than a decade, Billie Eilish proved herself to be a top singer and songwriter in the music industry. Looking at her career, her talents helped her gain numerous awards, including two Academy Awards. With songs like โ€œMy Futueโ€, Therefore I Amโ€ and โ€œWhat Was I Made For?โ€, the singer holds a sizable fanbase. But recently, the singer found herself dealing with some backlash after a person suggested that her lyrics in Charli XCXโ€™s โ€œGuessโ€ are โ€œpredatory.โ€ย

Originally released on Charliโ€™s album Brat, the song featured lyrics surrounding how fans want to know the color of her underwear. Bringing in Eilish for a new version of the song, Elish sings, โ€œI wanna try it, bite it, lick it, spit it / Pull it to the side and get all up in it / Kiss it, bite it, can I fit it? / Charli likes boys, but she knows Iโ€™d hit it / (Knows Iโ€™d hit it) / Charli, call me if youโ€™re with it.โ€

While some fans loved the new version, one person found an issue with the lyrics, claiming, โ€œBillieโ€™s verse on ‘Guess’ is high-key predatory, but yโ€™all blinded by her usual queerbaiting for commercial gain. Ever since the ‘Lost Cause’ controversy, sheโ€™s been reducing girls to mere objects, all in an effort to convince the masses that sheโ€™s actually into them lol. Charli is 32 and engaged FYI.โ€

Finneas Defends Billie Eilish From “Queerbaiting”

Although Eilish remained silent about her lyrics and the backlash, her brother Finneas wasnโ€™t having the attacks on his younger sister. He said, โ€œWhat a take, you little clown. I got to watch the entire internet slam my sister for queerbaiting for an entire year when, in reality, you were all forcing her to label and out herself.” While sharing his thoughts, the comment from Finnease was eventually deleted.ย

With some taking issue with Eilishโ€™s lyrics, the music video continues to gain views. Only released two days ago, the music video has nearly six million views. And looking at the comments, fans loved the collaboration. โ€œCharli is just THAT girl! Brat is a movement first Lorde now Billieโ€ฆ weโ€™re witnessing pop culture history.โ€
