Thanks to his mesmerizing career under the spotlight, Billy Joel entertained countless people all over the world with iconic hits like โPiano Manโ and โWe Didnโt Start the Fire.โ Looking forward to celebrating his career in music with an upcoming tour, it seems that fans who purchased a ticket will have to wait a little longer as Joel announced he was postponing the tour four months to focus on his health.ย
With fans thrilled about the tour, Joel prepared to perform throughout the U.S. and the U.K. Besides highlighting his own legacy, he was scheduled to perform alongside greats like Stevie Nicks and Sting. Releasing a statement on Instagram, it read, โBilly Joelโs upcoming concert dates will be rescheduled due to a medical condition. The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors. Joel is expected to make a full recovery. The tour will resume at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025.โย

Offering a statement about the decision, Joel promised to get back to the stage soon. โWhile I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.โ

Fans Rally Around Billy Joel As He Focuses On Health
For fans who snagged a ticket to one of the concerts, the ticket will โautomatically be validโ on the new concert date. But many fans cared more about the singerโs health as they wrote, โGet better soon!ย I shall see you in approximately 369 days. My love wonโt waver – Iโll be sad for a day just get better. Toronto remains true.โ Another person added, โSending good thoughts & vibes to you for a speedy recovery! May you come out of this stronger than ever, Billy! I am rooting for you!!โ
Not giving too many details surrounding Joelโs health, the singer suffered a mishap back in February when he stumbled on stage in Connecticut. Eventually finding his footing, Joel continued to entertain fans and finish the concert. But with little information, many worry about Joelโs current health.
