Just last year, Shaboozey watched as his hit song โA Bar Song (Tipsy)” took over the airwaves and even brought the singer a No. 1 hit. The song was such a success, the country singer performed the song numerous times since its release. But while thrilled over the songโs appeal, the album, Where Iโve Been, Isnโt Where Iโm Going, featured more songs than โA Bar Song (Tipsy).” Included in the album was a collaboration with BigXthaPlug on โDrink Donโt Need No Mix.โ The collaboration appeared such a hit that the two recently linked up once again. But this time, their talents led them to shut down a Dallas bridge.
On Tuesday, Texas commuters looking to get home after a long day at work found themselves sitting in horrific traffic at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. While traffic usually came from a bad accident, the commuters didnโt need to worry about debris as the bridge was closed due to Shaboozey and BigXthaPlug filming what appeared to be a music video.

Commuters Not Thrilled About Shaboozey And BigXthaPlug Closing Bridge
Although not much information was given as to what the pair was working on, BigXthaPlug shared a snippet on their new song titled โHighway Highwayโ on Instagram. In the video, BigXthaPlug appeared to be putting the final touches on their collaboration.
It should come as no surprise that Shaboozey and BigXthaPlug would find their way back to the studio given their ongoing friendship. Loving their collaboration on โDrink Donโt Need No Mixโ, Shaboozey insisted, โMan, he’s amazing, that’s my guy. He’s just a humble guy, a loving man and a great guy. Everyone around him loves him, he takes care of his people, his family, he’s just a really stand-up guy. I think he’s one of the most polarising people in music right now.โ
Over the last few months, BigXthaPlug teased his upcoming country project. Wanting to add his voice to the genre, itโs unclear exactly when fans will hear โHighway Highway.โ But with the singer shutting down the bridge, that moment might be right around the corner.
As for commuters, some werenโt thrilled about the sudden closure, commenting, โ was so madโฆ.I put my car in reverse all the way back to Riverfront and cross over the bridge by Lew Lew.โ Another person added, โCould you imagine having an emergency? Or even just going home, and this happens.โ
While we can’t knock some people for feeling a certain type of way for getting caught in traffic, we still are eagerly awaiting the new Shaboozey collab.
