Neil Young may have left the building, but his songs are still ringing in our ears. Here’s a lovely version of one of Youngs’ loveliest songs, “Harvest Moon,” from Eddie Vedder and crew from a 2006 benefit show in Portland (with Sleater-Kinney singing backup). Pearl Jam and Young have a long history — the Seattle rockers made “Rockin’ In The Free World” their own, and the two collaborated on a 1995 album, Mirror Ball.
Vedder seems to be a pretty apt interpreter, as evidenced below.
