Indie-folk band Caamp is pausing their touring schedule for the remainder of the year. In a message posted to the band’s Instagram account on Wednesday (September 6), lead vocalist and guitarist Taylor Meier explained the sudden cancellations.
“Dear fans, It is with a heavy heart that we announce the rest of this year is canceled,” the statement reads. “In the past few months, I have experienced some untimely knocks to my health, and the mental side of things isn’t where it needs to be. I am not well enough to give you my best. The band and team are in full support, we need some rest. I hope you can forgive this, as we have canceled hardly any shows in our 8 touring years. All headline tickets will be refunded, and Caamp will return when I’m back on top. All my love. T”

The decision affects over a dozen previously scheduled performances, including two acoustic sets at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Caamp shared the news just hours before they were set to take the stage at Red Hat Ampitheatre in Raleigh, N.C.
Meier has kept a fast-paced schedule in recent months, promoting Caamp’s fourth album Lavender Days and the just-released record Moss from his side project Sumbuck.
According to the band’s statement, all tickets purchased through the official ticket seller for all non-festival headlining shows will be refunded automatically.
