Wanting to find his way into country music, Chris Young decided to compete on the reality singing show Nashville Star. Appearing on the show during season four, the singer surprised viewers with his voice. Gaining a following while on the show, the singer eventually found himself the winner. Shortly after, Young signed with RCA Records Nashville and released nine studio albums under the label. But even with Youngโs newest album, Young Blood & Saturday Nights, back in March, the country star decided it was time for a change as he dropped his label.ย
Looking to take his career in a different direction, Young not only decided to drop his current label, but he celebrated signing with a new one. Joining Black River Entertainment, the label is home to stars like Pryor Baird, Scotty Hasting, MaRynn Taylor, and even Kelsea Ballerini. Sharing a collage of pictures on Twitter, Young wrote, โThrilled to begin a new chapter with Black River Entertainment and canโt wait to get new music out very soon!โย

Chris Young Knows The Importance Of Time
While leaving RCA Records Nashville, Young loved what he produced with the label. Once speaking about his new album with PopCulture.com, the singer explained how he was given time to master the songs. โIt is really, really cool that I had the ability to make a record and have the time, to not only write the songs, but find the songs that I needed for this album. Because thereโs three songs on this record that I didnโt write, and I donโt know if Iโd have had that amount of time I wouldโve found them.โ
With Young knowing how many artists will rush their work to try and meet deadlines, the singer insisted, โI think thatโs meaningful to have the ability to have the time to get all of this done.โ
