Among the listings, according to a report from Rolling Stone, are McVie’s 1998 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame award. Additionally, the RIAA multi-platinum plaque for Rumours is among the items.
โThe auction is more than just a sale of memorabilia. Itโs a celebration of McVieโs extraordinary talent and her enduring impact on music,โ said Julien’s Auctions in a statement. โFrom penning some of Fleetwood Macโs greatest hits like ‘Donโt Stop’ and ‘Little Lies’ to her successful solo career, she blazed a trail for female artists in the industry. Her legacy lives on through her music, and this auction offers fans a chance to own a piece of that legacy.โ

Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks Made a Pact While in Fleetwood Mac
When Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974, there could have been a shake-up in the band. However, early on they made a pact together. They were two extraordinary women in a male-dominated field, and so they promised to support each other if they were not getting the respect they deserved.
In a 2020 CBS interview, Nicks revealed exactly the parameters of the pact. โChristine and I, we made a pact at the very beginning that if we were ever in a room of super famous guitar players that didnโt treat us with the respect that we thought that we deserved, that we would just stand up and say, โThis partyโs over,โ and we would walk out,โย said Nicks. โWe never actually did have to do that. So, that was a nice surprise.โ
Nicks and McVie didn’t find it hard to get along, even when everyone around them were worried how Nicks’ arrival in the band would affect McVie. โMick came to me and said, โThey have a girl involved here. Youโre gonna have to meet her and see if you like her,โโ McVie once said to Rolling Stone in 2014. โWe met, and I instantly liked her. She and I are not competitive in any way at all.โ
