Converse has announced that its Rubber Tracks recording program will be holding its latest pop-up event at the historicย Grand Victor Sound studio inย Nashville.
The program gives musicians of all genres the opportunity to record original music with professional engineers forย no cost. When the session is over, theย artist keeps the rights to the recording.
The pop-up event will take place from Monday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 4 and will be the program’s first visit to Music City. The Rubber Tracks initiativeย has previously made stops inย San Francisco, Los Angeles, Montreal, Hamburg, Mexico City, Barcelona and other cities around the world.
โAs the birthplace of some of the greatest acts in music history, Nashville has a deep-rootedย connection to music and weโre thrilled to bring the Converse Rubber Tracks experience toย the city for the first time,โ said Jed Lewis, Converse Global Music Marketing Director, in a release. โConverse is dedicated to thriving music communities world-wide, and we hope to inspireย Nashvilleโs next generation of emerging artists by providing them valuable resources throughย this platform.โ
While Converse may seem like an odd backer for music ventures, they’ve been dabbling in music for years with their “3 Artists, 1 Song” series. Musicians who have contributed to the series include Pharrell, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon ofย The Clash, Frank Ocean, Gorillazย andย more.
