Most 90s kids might be too young to remember these iconic bubblegum pop tracks from the 1990s. However, those who enjoy some sickeningly sweet pop music from that era might just be able to sing along with our top picks. Letโs take a look at three of our favorite bubblegum pop songs from the 1990s that you might just know all the words to!
1. โTroubleโ by Shampoo
This bubblegum pop-rock tune comes from one of the most underrated yet still thoroughly loved bubblegum pop duos of all time, Shampoo.ย

โTroubleโ was the duoโs debut single from We Are Shampoo in 1994. It became quite a huge Top 20 hit in the UK, Europe, and Canada. It infected radio stations everywhere that year. Even if you donโt know every word to this song, you at least likely know that repetitive โUh oh, weโre in troubleโ by heart.
2. โMMMBopโ by Hanson
Now this is the ultimate entry on any list of bubblegum pop songs from the 1990s. Kids loved it, and many adults who had to listen to it on repeat hated it ferociously. Either way, this teen pop track was a massive hit when it was first released back in 1997.
โMMMBopโ was Hansonโs biggest single and reached no. 1 in over a dozen countries that year. If you love candy-coated songs from a very specific era of boy bands, this hit is worth revisiting.
3. โWannabeโ by Spice Girls
Some would describe this Spice Girls hit from the 1990s as dance-pop, but thereโs something about this track that is without a doubt bubblegum pop at its core. There are quite a few Spice Girls songs that could have made it to this very short list, but โWannabeโ just sticks out.ย
Released in 1996, โWannabeโ was the British girl groupโs debut single that started the Spice Girl craze that lasted for years. It has all the best elements of a bubblegum pop song: Glossy production, a danceable and addicting melody, sickeningly sweet lyrics, and a girl power philosophy. It doesnโt get better than this. Plus, the music video for โWannabeโ is a real throwback.
