Dolly Parton will host the grand opening celebration of her first ever retail store Trinkets and Treasures in downtown Nashville on March 12th. The store, located on 2nd Avenue, reflects Dolly’s recognizable “Coat of Many Colors” theme with a patchwork of colors decorating both the interior and exterior of the store.
“When I was growing up in the backwoods of the Smoky Mountains, any trinket was a treasure to me.” Parton explains the meaning of the store’s name. The store is stocked with a wide variety of Dolly memorabilia such as CDs, t-shirts, and even limited edition customized “Coat of Many Colors” guitars. Trinkets and Treasures reflects Parton’s vibrant and quirky personality, and follows the 2007 launch of her own label, Dolly Records.
