โThe original guitar this model is based upon has been refinished, rebuilt, and has a new neck with Elvisโ name inlaid into the fingerboard, so we had to reference a lot of โ70s-era photography, as well as Elvisโ personal anecdotes, to get it right,โ said Justin Norvell, Fender marketing manager for electric guitars. โElvis dialed in the finer detailsโthe points that photos canโt tell you, like the feel and setup and the exact hue and luster of the finishโthings only he would know.โ U.S.). Costello had this to say about his beloved Jazzmaster, โThis is a brutal-sounding guitar. It suits the way I play. But this guitarโitโs had a funny life. And Iโve just always stuck with it; I always come back to it. Iโve done all sorts of different music, but whenever itโs involved electric guitar, I donโt think thereโs one record Iโve made on which the Jazzmaster doesnโt feature somewhere.โ
