Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee says the two people who shot him while he walked his dog near his Las Vegas home last October will soon face consequences.
“Oh, btw, the two that shot me have been caught and face sentencing next month,” the 68-year-old rocker wrote on Facebook Friday (June 27.) “The gun was tied to two previous murders so my case is almost an afterthought. They’re going bye bye for a long time.”

Jake E. Lee Says Shooters Were Aiming at His Dog
In a series of social media updates, Jake E. Lee shared the full story of what happened to him on Oct. 15, 2024.
The Red Dragon Cartel founder says he was walking his pit bull, Coco, near his Las Vegas home when they came upon two people apparently trying to steal a motorcycle. A verbal confrontation led to all parties agreeing to go their separate ways—or so Lee thought.
“We were about 50ft apart when I heard the shots. I quickly realized he wasn’t aiming at me. He was aiming at my dog!” he said. “I threw my end of the leash at Coco and yelled to go home. He did. He’s a good boy.”
Three bullets struck Lee, breaking one of his ribs and damaging a lung. Medical professionals told the heavy metal guitarist that one bullet narrowly missed his spine.
“Over the next couple days whenever a nurse was redressing my wounds I would hear about how close the bullet was to my spine,” Lee wrote. “Finally, at home about 5/6 days later my daughter Jade was redressing my back and said “oh my god Dad”. So I asked her to take a photo so I could see wtf everyone was going on about. Oh. Yeah. I see. How did that not actually hit my spine?”
He Will Perform at Black Sabbath’s Final Show
Fortunately, Coco was unharmed and Jake E. Lee has seemingly made a full recovery. In fact, his most recent post confirmed that the former Badlands guitarist will perform during Black Sabbath’s July 5 farewell show at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
“I’m thrilled to be sharing the stage with top tier musicians, I won’t name cause you never know until the curtain rises, but will confirm once we have our rehearsal next week,” he wrote.
