“Holly Jolly Christmas” Origins and Famous Covers

Itโ€™s the best time of the year
Now I don’t know if there’ll be snow
but have a cup of cheer.

These lyrics ring with a festive familiarity, and theyโ€™re deeply embedded in the canon of Christmas songs. Itโ€™s the song โ€œHolly Jolly Christmas,โ€ also known as โ€œHave a Holly Jolly Christmas,โ€ which was written by Johnny Marks in 1962.
