With songs like “More Hearts Than Mine”, “Wishful Drinking”, and “The Stranger”, singer Ingrid Andress appeared to be the next big star in country music. Wasting little time, the country star even released two studio albums. Her last, Good Person, released back in August 2022. Gaining a loyal following over the last decade, Andress received the chance to perform the national anthem for Major League Baseball. For many singers, performing the national anthem is somewhat of a milestone. But for Andress, it marked a low point in her career as she not only botched the performance but recently canceled a string of concerts due to the backlash and her entering rehab.
While excited to perform the national anthem, Andress also prepared for shows in Nashville and Denver. But according to her representative, those concerts ended up canceled. The representative said, “Upcoming shows in Nashville and Denver have been canceled, and the venues are in touch with ticket buyers regarding refunds.”

Before attending the 2024 MLB All-Star Home Run Derby on Monday, Andress shared her excitement about her upcoming shows. She wrote on Twitter, “Greetings to everyone that has a pulse. I truly love you all so much. I’ve been absent for a minute, but I’m so stoked to announce that my new single ‘Colorado 9’ comes out on July 24th, pre-save it now. To celebrate, I’m playing two very special shows.”

Ingrid Andress Looks To Focus On Her Recovery
Sadly, those shows will not happen after her rendition of the national anthem caused a mountain of backlash as the singer appeared nervous about the song. With the star struggling through each verse, many considered it to be worse than when Fergie sang the national anthem during the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
Breaking her silence over the performance, Andress insisted she consumed too much alcohol and looked to enter rehab. “I’m not gonna bulls—t y’all, I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night.” Horrified over the ordeal, she added, “I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is. I hear it’s super fun.”
