Over the last two weeks, Saturday Night Live came out swinging with hosts Shane Gillis and Lady Gaga. Although Gillis wasnโt afraid to make fun of himself throughout his time at Studio 8H, Gaga took her duties to an entirely different level as she hosted and performed. A true master of the stage, Gaga found the perfect balance of grace and comedy and she proved her acting abilities. Creating a mesmerizing career in Hollywood and the music industry, it seemed that SNL needed a break after Gaga. But donโt worry, SNL wasnโt about to leave its fans without a few laughs.ย
Sadly, there is no new episode of SNL airing tonight. But fans of the show can still watch a past broadcast of the December 14, 2024 episode featuring Chris Rock. Taking place just before Christmas, Rock decided to end the year with a bang when he opened with a fiery monologue that shined a light on P-Diddy, the Menendez brothers, Donald Trump, and even Luigi Mangione.ย

Fans loved Rockโs take on 2024 as one fan summed it up perfectly, writing, โHe literally summarized the whole year in 7 minutes and it was consistently hilarious. He’s so good at approaching touchy subjects, even the sticks in the mud will laugh.โ Another fan offered a great idea that SNL should consider. โAs a tradition, SNL should invite a GOAT comedian to host at the end of every year to sum up the year.โย ย
Gracie Abrams Displays Stage Power On ‘Saturday Night Live’
Outside of Rock, Gracie Abrams also graced the stage as the musical guest for the evening. Gaining the spotlight thanks to working alongside Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo, the singer decided to perform the song โThatโs So Trueโ from her second studio album The Secret of Us.
Continuously praising Swift for her help and guidance, Abrams once declared, โThere’s also nothing that comes close to what she has done. People will still gaslight her and her capabilities and all this s**t. But please point me to one man who has come close to defining pop culture in this way. There is nothing! But people are not ready for that conversation.”ย
While not a new episode, donโt miss Saturday Night Live, airing tonight on NBC and available on Peacock.ย
