When an old friend comes into town, it’s polite to see them, catch up and hang out for a bit. If you’re Ryan Adams and are playing two shows at The Ryman Auditorium and happen to be old pals with Jason Isbell, you invite him and his wife, the equally talented Amanda Shires, to play a tune for the audience. It’s basic manners, really.
