Nashville based band JEFF The Brotherhood has released the first single, “Punishment,” off their forthcoming album of experimental rock, Zone, which will be available for purchase August 12 and for preorder this Friday, July 22. Featuring a guest appearance from Bully’s Alicia Bognanno, the LP is the third release in a trilogy of albums by the band, including Heavy Days (2009) and We Are The Champions (2011).
The members of JEFF will be performing as the Dr. Pepper Blues Band, a pseudonym the group has used in the past to keep a show under wraps, in Nashville this Friday – the night preorders for Zone open. Most recently billed as “a JEFF the Brotherhood cover band featuring members of JEFF the Brotherhood,” the group will perform Friday’s Queens Ave show alongside two other acts. A portion of the proceeds go to Showing Up for Racial Justice. Check out the event here and listen to “Punishment” below.
