Just over two weeks after Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert raised nearly $200 million for charity, the heavy metal legend died July 22, 2025, at age 76. Now, everyone from Elton John to Flavor Flav is sharing their memories of the chaotic Black Sabbath vocalist. Recently, Jelly Roll—who helped welcome Ozzy Osbourne into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame—joined the list of artists paying tribute to the Prince of Darkness.
Jelly Roll Shares Simple Ozzy Osbourne Tribute
On his Instagram Stories Thursday (July 24), Jelly Roll shared a picture of himself and Ozzy Osbourne posing with a group of people. “Forever grateful,” wrote the “Need a Favor” singer, 40. “Thank you for everything.”

The Grammy nominee helped induct Osbourne into the Rock and Hall of Fame in October 2024. A longtime fan, Jelly delivered a soaring rendition of “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” off Osbourne’s 1991 album No More Tears.

The Grammy winner sang the younger artist’s praises ahead of the performance, telling Rolling Stone, “Who doesn’t love Jelly Roll?”
“His voice is soulful, pure, and dirty,” Ozzy said. “I’m so honored that someone would do this for me who I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting.”
Before taking the stage, the “Save Me” singer posted a gushing tribute to Ozzy on X/Twitter. “Going to honor the incredible Ozzy Osbourne as he is inducted into the hall of fame tonight,” he wrote. “These are the moments I never even dream of. I remember listening to No More Tears in our living room with the whole family. CRAZY I was a kid.”

Ozzy’s family confirmed his death July 22 in a social media post.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” it read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
