Check out “Driftwood,” the latest track from relative newcomer Jesse Jo Stark. The song is heavily reminiscent of Mazzy Star, with Stark’s dazed and dreamy vocals recalling some of Hope Sandoval’s finest moments.
“Love is a beautiful hell,” says Stark of the inspiration behind the track. “‘Driftwood’ is my deadly ode to being consumed by love and then…letting it go.”
The jewelry designer and California native will release her debut full length later this year. Listen to “Driftwood” below.
