Jon Pardi isn’t immune to dad guilt.
During an appearance on Taste of Country Nights, the singer spoke candidly about the challenges of going on tour and leaving his and wife Summer Pardi’s daughters at home. The couple shares Presley, 3, and Sienna, who will turn 1 on July 16.

“There’s definitely a tough thing leaving,” Pardi said. “Especially if Summer is going, and we’re leaving [the kids] with like the grandparents, or you know, like even for a night out, when she sees the bags and stuff it’s like a big deal.”
The whole thing “definitely gets harder and harder” as the girls get older, Pardi said. Even so, he noted, “I gotta go out and do what I do, I got all kinds of responsibilities.”
Back in April, Pardi gushed about life as a girl dad. As his girls’ personalities continue to develop, he’s down to foster that in whatever way he canโfrom tractor rides to tea parties.
“Itโs all sweet,” Pardi told Country Now. “Theyโre a lot of fun and they got a lot of personality and we do hang out quite a bit… The kids are very active in fun things.”
Jon Pardi’s Latest Chapter
Pardi’s latest comments follow the April release of his latest album, Honkytonk Hollywood.
โWhen we made the record, we did whateverย felt good; we recorded whatever songย felt good,โ Pardi toldย Country Living in April. โI left it open to the song; whatever the song needed is what it got. We didn’t have, you know, โThis has to be country.โ Like no, we’re just going to make thisย meย and this is what I am.โ
Pardi is currently on his Honkytonk Hollywood Tour, which kicked off the same month of the album’s release. It’s set to concluded on Oct. 25 in Edinburg, Texas.
โOf course, playing the new tunes on the roadโnew tour, new stageโthatโs something to look forward to,โ he told the outlet at the time. โWe also got a new bus that’s tailored to the kids coming out so they can come out on the road sometimes.”
