Kenny Chesney had a show in Phoenix on Wednesday night, July 24, but it was cut short due to severe weather that rolled through. Megan Moroney was able to perform as the opener, but before Chesney could take the stage, the venue announced that those in attendance should take shelter.
Some fans posted footage of the message put out by the venue on social media. The announcement can be seen on the screens on either side of the stage telling concertgoers to โPlease seek shelter in your vehicle until further notice.” According to a report from AZCentral, fans waited for the weather to pass for up to two hours, both in their cars and under the amphitheater shelter.
