Rob Fusari, the producer who co-wrote Lady Gaga’s hit single “Papparazzi,” is suing the glam rock queen for $35 million dollars, claiming he is owed unpaid royalties, merchandise fees, and compensation for helping Gaga create her name and image.
Fusari, who has writing credits on Will Smith’s “Wild Wild West” and Destiny Child’s “Bootylicious,” is Gaga’s ex-boyfriend. He also co-wrote her songs โBrown Eyesโ and โDirty, Rich, Beautiful,โ which appear on her 2008 smash hit album, The Fame.
โAll business is personal,โ says Fusari in the suit. โWhen those personal relationships evolve into romantic entanglements, any corresponding business relationship usually follows the same trajectory so that when one crashes they all burn. This is what happened here.โ
Representatives for Lady Gaga have yet to respond.
