A bombshell dropped on the music industry when Sean โDiddyโ Combs found himself in custody for a range of allegations surrounding his elaborate parties. Often called โFreak-Offsโ, court documents revealed some of the accusations brought against the record producer. And with the music industry discussing the wild world of Diddy, Lance Bass decided to add his voice to the conversation. But instead of talking about parties, Bass explained why he never cared for Diddy after hearing him speak out against *NSYNC.ย
While one of the biggest boy bands in music history, apparently, Diddy didnโt care much for *NSYNC as he pushed Justin Timberlake to drop the band to explore a solo career. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Bass recalled going on the road for their final Celebrity tour in 2002. Before getting into the details, the singer insisted, โI never had time to go to a Diddy party.โย

Clearing the air on the matter, Bass explained how he accidentally overheard Diddy and Timberlake discussing his future. โItโs kinda horrible, but never kinda liked him because the very last show in Orlando, I overheard him talking to Justin being like, โYou need to drop these f’ers! You need to go solo!’”
Lance Bass Never Forgot As Diddy Remains In Custody
Although finishing the tour with *NSYNC, it seemed that Timberlake took advice from Diddy as he eventually left the group and released his debut solo album Justified. While excited about what Timberlake accomplished, Bass never forgot that conversation between Timberlake and Diddy.ย
As for Diddy, authorities took the producer into custody on September 16th on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. While facing a mountain of legal troubles, the rapperโs attorney, Marc Agnifilo, prepared for a fight as he revealed, โHeโs going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might and the full confidence of his lawyers and I expect a long battle with a good result for Mr. Combs.”
Expected to appear in court in October, Diddy remains in custody as his ongoing attempts to get a bail hearing were denied.
