Luke Bryan is ready to get back on the road! In a Facebook video, the singer thanked fans for their support after he was forced to cancel multiple shows due to illness.

Bryan went on to thank Eric Church “for stepping in and helping out” by filling in for him at multiple scheduled performances.

“It really, really gets frustrating getting sick like that, and losing my voice, and having to take a couple of weekends off,” Bryan said. “But thank you guys for supporting me. I love y’all. I’ll see y’all in the shows to come.”

The following day, Bryan officially announced that he’d be playing his July 10 show in Toronto as scheduled. He also has concerts in Ohio and Pennsylvania over the weekend.

Luke Bryan’s Health Issues

Bryanโ€™s health woes began back in June whenย he struggled through a performanceย in Arkansas.

โ€œThis is the weirdest thing Iโ€™ve ever dealt with in my life. I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason. It happens every time, I donโ€™t know why,โ€ he said during the concert. โ€œButโ€ฆ you guys keep showing up year after year to see me put on a show.โ€

Bryan wasnโ€™t happy with his vocal abilities during the show, but he decided to power through the whole and refund the entire audience too.

He couldnโ€™t keep on going in that direction, though. Ultimately Bryanย decided to rescheduleย his Lafayette, Louisiana and Dallas, Texas, tour stops to Sept. 11 and 12, respectively.

One week later, Bryan canceled his appearances at Country Stampede in Kansas, NebraskaLand Days in Nebraska, and Country Jam in Colorado due to “continued illness.”

“Sitting still is not what I do best,” Bryan said, “so I canโ€™t wait to be back soon.โ€

Bryan additionally announced Church as his replacement at the festivals.

โ€œFestivals are part of the fabric of what made us who we are,โ€ Church wrote on Instagram at the time. โ€œHappy to fill in for Luke while heโ€™s on the mend. Not a lot of time to plan or get the whole crew and band together, so Iโ€™m bringing Jo and weโ€™re gonna do something unique and spontaneous.โ€
