Luke Bryan Forced To Reschedule Farm Tour Concert Due to Mother Nature

While known for songs like “Country Girl” and “One Margarita”, Luke Bryan carved out a nice spot in country music as he released seven studio albums. And on September 27th, the country star is expected to release his newest album, Mind of a Country Boy. But outside of country music, the star also helped coach aspiring singers on American Idol. Always looking to help others, it seems that his upcoming concert for his Farm Tour needed a new date due to Mother Nature.  

Originally, Bryan looked to travel to Chesapeake, Virginia for a concert at Heritage Park on September 20th. But on Thursday, the country singer announced he needed to postpone the concert due to the weather. Sharing the news online, he wrote, “Chesapeake, VA Farm Tour, unfortunately, due to the large amounts of rain at the farm, we are going to have to reschedule tomorrow’s show.” 

Thankfully, fans who bought tickets to the concert won’t have to wait long as Bryan moved the concert to Sunday, September 22nd. Still, Bryan insisted, “We are sorry for the inconvenience but we want to keep y’all safe. See y’all out on the farm.” 

According to local reports, the area is expected to receive several inches of rain. Not wanting fans to trudge through the mud and rain, Bryan’s team hopes the changed dates will bring a little sunshine their way.

Why The Farm Tour Means So Much To Luke Bryan

Since kicking off the first Farm Tour back in 2009, Bryan used the concerts to help farming families acrocss the country. Growing up in a farming family, the country singer understood more than most what it takes to produce food for millions of people. “The beauty of Farm Tour is we’re out there on the farm. We’re helping people feed Americans. We’re giving out scholarships. You’ve got 20,000 people piling into an alfalfa field, corn field, hay field, it doesn’t matter. It’s a field.”

Although some might just see a field, Bryan insisted, “When you put that many people out there in the Fall where the temps are kinda getting a little cool at night, nothing is more special than Farm Tour and that’s why I keep doing it year after year.”

Besides taking the stage himself, Bryan welcomed stars like Tucker Wetmore, Conner Smith and the Peach Pickers. With the singer juggling the Farm Tour and a new album, it appeared Bryan looked to end the year with a bang.
