Being a country music superstar means being away from home… a lot. Currently in the midst of his record-breaking Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour, Luke Combs is on the road quite often these days. That means his wife isn’t always aware of his every move. Recently, Nicole Hocking Combs got the scare of her life when she mistook a news headline to mean her husband was behind bars.
Luke Combs’ Wife Thought He Had Been Denied Bail
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been in the spotlight recently, for less than savory reasons. The rapper is currently awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, after a judge denied him bail.

On Wednesday (Sept. 18) morning, Nicole Hocking Combs tuned into the news and was taken aback at the headline “Combs Denied Bail.”
“The way I about JUMPED out of my seat when I turned the TV on this morning,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
We can imagine the heart-in-throat moment that must have been for Nicole. But fortunately, everything is seemingly coming up roses for Luke Combs lately. The “Fast Car” singer recently announced he will become the first country artist to headline a full stadium tour Down Under. He will play six shows in Australia and New Zealand next year.
Additionally, Combs is up for three awards at this yearโs 58th Annual CMA Awards, which will air Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. Eastern. The “Beautiful Crazy” hitmaker could bring home his third Entertainer of the Year trophy. He also received nods in the Male Vocalist of the Year category, along with Album of the Year for his latest record Fathers & Sons.
Nicole Combs Celebrates Her Husband’s HOF Exhibit
Luke Combs has had a meteoric rise to country music stardom. In fact, his career trajectory is so remarkable that the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is celebrating it with the exhibit Luke Combs: The Man I Am.
Back in July, Nicole Combs commemorated the milestone with a social media post. “weโre so proud of you babes,” she wrote in the caption.
Combs’ fellow country star, Lainey Wilson, also chimed in: “Love this and y’all,” commented the “Hang Tight Honey” singer.
