Now that The Rolling Stones have completed their 2024 North American tour in support of their Hackney Diamonds albums, frontman Mick Jagger is turning his attention to sports, specifically, the 2024 Summer Olympics. Jagger has posted a series of photos on his social media pages featuring him posing with various members of Team GB, his U.K. homelandโs Olympic squad.
The 80-year-old rock legend captioned the photo gallery, โWonderful to meet and support [Team GB]!!โ

According to the Daily Mail, the pics were taken on Tuesday, July 24, at a reception for the athletes held at the British embassy in Paris. Princess Anne also attended the event, and Jaggerโs photos include a pic of him chatting with the royal. The princess serves as president of the British Olympic Association. She also competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics in the three-day equestrian event.
The Daily Mail article also included some photos from the reception not posted by Jagger, including one of the singer with Adam Burgess, who will compete in the canoe slalom event.
Meanwhile, a photo of Jagger with boxers Patrick Brown and Lewis Richardson was posted on Brownโs Instagram page.

A bunch of Jaggerโs fans took to the comments section of his Instagram page to post their reactions to his photos from the reception.
โI was so sure that you would go to the Olympics right after the tour!!!โ one fan wrote. โYouโre a huge inspiration for all of us, and of course for the athletes!! Love you Mick.โ
Another commented, โI hope โฆ the British Olympians appreciate and value the fact โฆ that they are standing alongside the greatest RockโnโRoll frontman of all time.โ

More About Jagger and the 2024 Olympics
Jagger will celebrate his 81st birthday in Friday, July 26, which happens to coincide with the official start of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. ET that day. Coverage of the event will start at noon ET and will air live on NBC, and stream on Peacock.
The Rolling Stonesโ 2024 Hackney Diamonds tour wrapped up with a show on July 21 in Ridgedale, Missouri. No official word yet if the band is planning to announce more dates.
