Morgan Wallen Concert Halted After Alleged Terroristic Threat

It looks like a Vikings fan decided to make a pretty dumb decision recently.

Country singer Morgan Wallen was scheduled to perform at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri last Friday night. Fans who were already at the concert were beginning to worry that the show would be canceled, as the “Thinkin’ Bout Me” singer was late to the stage. The delay was apparently not Wallen’s fault at all, either.

There was about a 45-minute delay after Bailey Zimmerman opened for Wallen. Eventually, Wallen made his way to the stage in the company of Kansas City Chiefs players Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Chris Jones. However, the set almost didn’t happen at all.

What Happened At Morgan Wallen’s Arrowhead Stadium Show?

According to recent reports, police officials who were monitoring the concert discovered a threatening post on X (formerly Twitter). The post allegedly threatened to “shoot” two of the Kansas City Chiefs players, specifically Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The threat was posted under the account “@gooeybag”, though the account seems to have been shut down since the incident.

According to court records, the alleged expletive-laden threat read: “Mr. [REDACTED] at Arrowhead with the wife. If he brings out [REDACTED] or [REDACTED] I’ll take the fuckin shot. F**k em! Also f**k you b***h!! (hand emoji with middle finger up twice) @[REDACTED]”

You can pretty easily fill in those redacted blanks with their respective names.

Police managed to track the user information back to a 23-year-old Minnesota resident named Aaron Brown (though, some stations are reporting he is from Illinois). Brown, who appears to be a Vikings fan, was already at the stadium with his girlfriend.

Police spoke to Brown’s girlfriend. She admitted that her boyfriend used burner accounts on X to post “stupid” stuff and that he was ultimately harmless. “Stupid” is a nice way to phrase it.

Police ended up arresting Brown and quickly removed him from the stadium. He is likely going to be charged with making “terroristic threats”, which is a felony that carries a four-year prison sentence.

Luckily for Morgan Wallen’s fans, once the threat was discovered and Brown was arrested, the concert went on without issue.

Moral of the story: Don’t make violent threats towards people on the internet.
