On March 25, singer-songwriter and Oklahoma native Parker Millsap will release The Very Last Day, the follow-up to his critically-lauded debut album.
The new effort was co-produced by Gary Paczosa (John Prine, Alison Krauss) and recorded at Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana. Sarah Jarosz, Sara Watkins and Aofie O’Donovan guest on the record.
Millsap’s debut album, released in 2014 when he was just a stripling of 20, established him as a promising talent amid a bumper crop of great Americana songwriters hailing from the Sooner state (John Moreland and John Fullbright are two other mentionables). In fact, it would lead you to think there’s something’s in the water if it weren’t so dry.
