Fashioning a career in music dating back to the 1960s, Ozzy Osbourne watched as fame surrounded him thanks to his time with Black Sabbath. But given his talents, the legacy of the โPrince of Darknessโ didnโt stop there as he went on to sell over 100 million albums and gain a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist just last year. While suffering from a few health issues over the years, Ozzy recently discussed his upcoming final concert with Black Sabbath and what he was doing to prepare.ย
At 76 years old, Ozzy understood the capabilities of his body. But while his prime years might be behind him, the rockstar wanted nothing more than to take the stage with Black Sabbath one more time. And on July 5th, he will do exactly that at Birminghamโs Villa Park.ย

Excited for the concert, Ozzy sat down with Billy Morrison on SiriusXM to discuss the show. According to the singer, โWell, itโs endurance training. The first thing to go when youโre laid up is your stamina, so believe it or not, Iโm doing two sets of three-minute walks and weight training. Iโm going and going, you know?โย
While Ozzy understood that might not sound like much for younger people, he insisted, โIโm waking up in my body, you know? I mean, three minutes to you, for instance, is nothing, but Iโve been laying on my back recovering from umpteen surgeries.โ
Ozzy Osbourne Not Doing An Entire Set With Black Sabbath
With fans jumping at the chance to see Ozzy under the spotlight one more time, the concert sold out in a matter of minutes. Even with the legendary singer not performing an entire set with Black Sabbath, he promised, “I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”ย ย ย
Back in 2020, Ozzy revealed he suffered from Parkinsonโs disease. But even with his dwindling health, he declared, โI am trying to get back on my feet. When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but Iโm not dead. Iโm still actively doing things.โ
No matter his age, fans couldnโt get enough of Ozzy as comments read, โGod bless Ozzy Osbourne.โ Another person added, โHe is sounding good. Long live the prince of darkness.โ
