2024 will go down in musical history as the year of the country music crossover. Rising to fame as a hip-hop artist, Post Malone conquered Nashville with his country debut, F-1 Trillion. For some, this move appeared to come out of nowhere. However, the 29-year-old GRAMMY Award winner has been dabbling in country music for quite some time now. Here he is once again flexing those muscles with this incredible Tim McGraw cover.
Post Malone Covers Tim McGraw’s “Just To See You Smile”
While Malone’s recent Nirvana cover for SNL’s 50th anniversary is (rightfully) all the rage, there’s just something about his McGraw cover that hits me right in the feels.

McGraw is one of a handful of country stars to make a cameo on Malone’s album F-1 Trillion. The pair teamed up for the album’s opening track “Wrong Ones,” notching McGraw his first-ever appearance on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.
Clearly, Posty is a big Tim McGraw fan. That’s clear to see in this clip from last August’s Outside Lands Festival. Malone played a whole host of country classics during his set at the San Francisco festival, including McGraw’s “Just To See You Smile.”
Released in 1997 as the third single from McGraw’s fourth studio album Everywhere, “Just To See You Smile” boasted the longest Billboard chart run of any ’90s country song. Taking a drag off his cigarette, Posty paid tribute to the song: Just to see you smile / I’d do anything that you wanted me to / When all is said and done / I’d never count the cost, it’s worth all that’s lost.
Fans loved it, as demonstrated in the comments. “Post Malone singing country makes me feel something,” one TikTok user wrote.
Another added, “A Post Malone ’90s cover album would be perfect.”

Posty Adds European Tour Dates
Last year, everyone’s favorite genre-bendersโPost Malone, Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrellโannounced their Big A– World Tour. Now, that “big a– tour” has grown even bigger.
Posty announced earlier this week that he is adding 18 dates to Europe and the United Kingdom. Beginning in August, the “I Had Some Help” crooner will hit Austria, Poland, Germany, Italy, France and the United Kingdom before closing out with a mid-September show in Portugal.
