Priscilla Presley Recalls How Elvis Would Escape The Stressors of Fame

Although passing away back in 1977, Elvis Presley left behind a legacy that continues to capture the spotlight. Throughout the iconโ€™s career, he sold a whopping 500 million albums worldwide. He also produced a promising career on the silver screen. Seeming to love the stage, Elvis released over 20 studio albums with his last, Moody Blue, hitting shelves the year he passed. Recently, Priscilla Presley celebrated her former husband by explaining why Elvis loved Hawaii so much.ย 

For any person who happens to travel to Hawaii, it is easy to see why people fall in love with the lavish greenery and pristine beaches. Not to mention the rich history the island offers. For Priscilla, she traveled to the island to celebrate the Hawaii Theater turning 102 years old. While taking a moment to greet guests and even share a picture, Priscilla opened up about Elvis and his connection with Hawaii.

Giving some details about Elvis, Priscilla said, โ€œHe would always go there to relax, first chill out, and then he felt much better in confronting what he had to do and finish up, like shows in Vegas and other places as well.โ€ Explaining how much stress came with performing, she added, โ€œI mean, he when he performed. I mean, he gave it his all. So after that month, letโ€™s say, of him performing, he just needed to chill out and just not think of anything and relax and, and, you know, appreciate life.โ€

Priscilla Presley Honors Elvis With Heartfelt Post

Just a few weeks ago, Priscilla remembered Elivs when she posted a video on her Instagram page. She wrote, โ€œ47 years and not a day goes by that I donโ€™t think of you.โ€

Gaining over 46,000 likes, fans also shared their love for Elvis, writing, โ€œHe truly loved you! I donโ€™t care what others think or feel – Elvis and Cilla 4 ever!โ€ Another person added, โ€œHard to believe itโ€™s been so long and heโ€™d be 89!! I remember getting the call from my best friend at work & I got hysterical. Always the king. Always missed & loved.โ€
