Revisit the moment Wynonna sang like an angel alongside Della Reese

Some have called it one of the most powerful moments in television. It took place on Nov. 15, 1998 in an episode of the much-loved show “Touched by an Angel.” During the episode, titled “Psalm 151,” country star Wynonna Judd performed the song “Testify to Love” as a serenade to a little boy whose final wish was to hear his mom’s final song.

Many tears were shed.

And now, 19 years later, tears are once again being shed over the death of “Touched By An Angel” star and vocal powerhouse Della Reese. Fans will recall that Della played the roll of Tess on the show.

Della passed away on Nov. 19 at the age of 86.

“She was a mother to me and I had the privilege of working with her side-by-side for so many years on ‘Touched By an Angel,’” co-star Roma Downey told People magazine shortly after hearing the news. “I know heaven has a brand new angel this day. Della Reese will be forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, sweet angel. We love you.”
