Riley Green is officially a No. 1 country artist! The singer’s current single, “Worst Way,” recently took the No. 1 spot on the Billboardโs Country Airplay chart.
While Green had two previous No. 1 hits, those were both as a featured artist. He contributed to Ella Langley’s “You Look Like You Love Me” in 2024 and to Thomas Rhettโs “Half of Me” in 2022.

“Worst Way” is the singer’s first time nabbing the top spot all on his own. It first appeared on his EP, Way Out Here. The song was later featured on his third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do.
“‘Worst Way’ is a song I wrote by myself while I was out on the road,” Green toldย Billboard. “I wanted to create something in the spirit of [John Mayer’s 2006 song] ‘Slow Dancing in a Burning Room’ or Eric Church’s ‘Like a Wrecking Ball’ [from 2015], and I think with the help of my producer, Dann Huff, we were able to do just that.”
“I set out to blend traditional country instrumentation with a modern edge โ something smooth and reflective, but still grounded in that raw, country feel,” he added.
Riley Green Announces Second Duckman Jam
In the wake of the exciting career accomplishment, Green decided to give fans something else to celebrate. Green announced that Duckman Jam will return for a second year.
Slated to take place Nov. 22 in Little Rock, Arkansas, Duckman Jam is billed as a duck season kick off concert. In addition to a performance from Green, fans will also get the chance to see Jamey Johnson, Drake White, and Lauren Watkins take the stage.
The event will benefit Ducks Unlimited, a nonprofit that works to conserve wetlands, grasslands, and associated habitats to benefit waterfowl, other wildlife, and communities.
Presale tickets will be available beginning June 17, while the public on sale will begin June 20.
