Shakira has postponed another concert. One week after a hospitalization forced the singer to postpone a show, Shakira’s tour hit another snag.
Shakira’s Feb. 24 show in Medellรญn, Colombia, was postponed after “the stage roof installed by the local production suffered damage that puts the safety of the artist, her staff and most importantly, the audience at risk,” concert promoter Pรกramo Presenta tweeted.

The promoter added that they are working with Shakira’s team to schedule a new date in the future.
“We understand that this decision may be upsetting for the audience who was eagerly waiting for the show, but the most important thing is the safety of everyone,” the promoter wrote.
Shakira spoke out about the decision on X, writing, “My people of Medellรญn! It hurts me a lot not to be able to go on stage and sing for you with the desire that I had.”
“My children were excited to visit Medellรญn, and I was excited to meet you again and share all the surprises I had prepared for them,” she added. “I am very sorry for the inconvenience, especially for those who have traveled. It’s out of my hands and those of my production team, but I’m sure we’ll soon find a new date to celebrate together.”
The “Waka Waka” singer noted that she’s “always grateful for the unconditional support you give me.”
“I love you very much and I hope to see you very soon,” she concluded.
