The Songwriters Hall of Fame unveiled its expanded traveling exhibit titled “The Power of Song” on Monday (May 8) in Los Angeles. The exhibition will be available to visit at the Grammy Museum through September 4.
SHOF teamed up with the museum to educate music enthusiasts on the art of songwriting. The display will include memorabilia from icons who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame and talented songsmiths who have received the Johnny Mercer Award or Hal David Starlight Award.

The hallowed halls of the museum will include murals and informative showcases that date back to 1828. As visitors observe the exhibit, they will learn about the competitive business of songwriting and reflect on the prestigious awards many songsmiths have received throughout the years.

The museum has placed prominent instruments on full display. Stevie Wonder’s harmonica, Alle Willis’ Casio keyboard, lyricist Sammy Cahn’s typewriter, John Mellencamp’s acoustic guitar, and others.
The show initially opened in June 2022 at CUNY Graduate Center in New York. Following its success, the Songwriters Hall of Fame Board of Directors decided to bring the exhibit to the Grammy Museum.
The museum is open from 11 am to 5 pm weekdays and Sundays. Saturday, the display will be accessible for viewing starting at 11 am to 6 pm. Tickets to the show are available, HERE.
