Stevie Nicks Shares Promising Update With Fans After Postponing Multiple Shows

With her billowing black stage outfits and esoteric lyricism, Stevie Nicks gained a witchy reputation in her years helming legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac. However, the “Gold Dust Woman” singer didn’t need to rely on dark forces in order to have a long, storied career. Now 77, Nicks is still singing about messy, complicated love to entirely new generations. Unfortunately, the husky-voiced Grammy winner has had to put a pin in touring for now.

Stevie Nicks Is Recovering From a Shoulder Injury

Earlier this month, LiveNation announced that Stevie Nicks must take a two-month break from the road as she recuperates from a fractured shoulder. However, she seems adamant that the show will go on. The “Edge of Seventeen” singer hopped onto social media Friday (Aug. 8) to send fans an uplifting message.

“I canโ€™t wait to get back on the road with youโ€ฆsee you soon,” Nicks wrote, sharing a revised list of concert dates. “Love, Stevie.”

In an Aug. 1 release posted to Nicksโ€™ social media accounts, LiveNation announced that the โ€œStand Backโ€ singer โ€œwill require recovery timeโ€ after fracturing her shoulder. Incidentally, she must postpone nine upcoming concerts scheduled for August and September.

Nicksโ€™ recoveryย will affect showsย in Detroit; Saint Paul, Minnesota; Toronto; Brooklyn, New York; Boston; Cincinnati; Columbia, South Carolina; Tampa, Florida; and Hollywood, Florida. She is currently planning an Oct. 1 return to the stage at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. โ€œPlease note that October dates will be unaffected,โ€ the statement read.

LiveNation advised fans to hold onto their tickets, as they will be honored on the new date. โ€œStevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience,โ€ the statement concluded.

Online, fans shared their well wishes with the beloved music icon. “Canโ€™t wait to see YOU!! Listening to your music right now,” one wrote on X/Twitter. “Hope you are healing & feeling better every day. Sending love, healing, light & prayers. See you soon. Miss & love you girl!!”

On Instagram, another fan urged Nicks to get “lots of rest & have lots of gluten free brownies.”
