Throughout his time in the spotlight, Swedish rapper Ninos Khouri, who went by Gaboro, gained fame when he released his hit song โBrowskiโ in 2022. Going viral thanks to TikTok, the rapper also released his debut album WLAK 2. And in 2024, his EP “Rush Hour” hit shelves with singles like โHeaven & Hellโ and โBaila.โ Known for covering his face and wearing sunglasses, the rapper sadly passed away after being shot in a car park, via local media reports (via BBC). With fans and friends shocked over the recent tragedy, many took a moment to honor Khouri.ย
While news circulated about the rapperโs death, it seemed the shooting took place on Thursday night in a city of the Swedish capital Stockholm called Norrkรถping. Releasing a statement surrounding the shooting, local law enforcement acknowledged the shooting and continued to investigate the incident.

Among those honoring Khouri was Swedish DJ Alan Max. Sharing a picture of the two together on his Instagram page, the musician wrote, โHave no words.โ Gaining thousands of views, fans of Max and Khouri filled the comment section with love and support. Another rapper named Imenella added, โRest in peace.โ
Video Of Gaboro Supposedly Surfaces Online
While family and friends deal with Khouri’s death, police are investigating a recent video to emerge online appearing to show the shooting. Former police officer Nadim Ghazale asked parents to keep in touch with their children as the video surfaced on platforms like TikTok. โThis movie is all over TikTok and is spreading like wildfire. Your kids who have TikTok have most likely seen it or will see it during the day. Talk to them and catch up. Itโs so disgusting that I have no more words to say.โ
Sadly, this isn’t the first Swedish rapper to be killed in 2024. Back in June, rapper C.Gambino, not Childish Gambino, was shot and killed shortly after being named the hip-hop artist of the year. And back in 2021, rapper Einar was also killed in a gang shooting.
While once known for having low gun violence, Sweden saw a significant rise over the last few years according to CNN.
