Billboard is reporting that in the very near future, The Beatles will make their long awaited appearance in the digital realm. Paul McCartney says, โ€œItโ€™s all happening soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready to go – thereโ€™s just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think itโ€™s being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldnโ€™t be too long. Itโ€™s down to the fine-tuning, but Iโ€™m pretty sure itโ€™ll be happening next year, 2008.โ€

So, whatโ€™s taken them so long? McCartney attributes the delays in introducing the Fab Fourโ€™s music to the Internet to โ€œcontractualโ€ issues and just overall intentional planning on behalf of all the parties involved. He explains, โ€œYouโ€™ve got to get these things right. You donโ€™t want to do something thatโ€™s as cool as that and in three years time you think, โ€˜Oh God, why did we do that?!โ€™โ€

Weโ€™ve already waited this long, so whatโ€™s another couple months, right? One thing is for sure, with The Beatles for sale on the world wide web, they truly will be here, there and everywhere.
