Billboard is reporting that in the very near future, The Beatles will make their long awaited appearance in the digital realm. Paul McCartney says, โItโs all happening soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready to go – thereโs just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think itโs being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldnโt be too long. Itโs down to the fine-tuning, but Iโm pretty sure itโll be happening next year, 2008.โ
So, whatโs taken them so long? McCartney attributes the delays in introducing the Fab Fourโs music to the Internet to โcontractualโ issues and just overall intentional planning on behalf of all the parties involved. He explains, โYouโve got to get these things right. You donโt want to do something thatโs as cool as that and in three years time you think, โOh God, why did we do that?!โโ
Weโve already waited this long, so whatโs another couple months, right? One thing is for sure, with The Beatles for sale on the world wide web, they truly will be here, there and everywhere.
