The Eaglesโ Sphere residency, which began in September, now features a total of 32 shows. The band has played, or will play, four concerts a month through April 2025. All of the performances have taken place on either a Friday or a Saturday.
The groupโs other upcoming residency concerts are scheduled for December 6, 7, 13, and 14; January 17, 18, 24, and 25; February 14, 15, 21, and 22; and March 7, 8, 14, and 15.
More About the Eaglesโ Sphere Residency
The Eaglesโ concerts at the Sphere generally have featured 20 songs, most of which are the bandโs biggest hits and best-loved tunes. The shows also have included solo classics from band members Don Henley and Joe Walsh.
Each song is synced up with a unique video presentation thatโs projected on the spherical theaters many screens. In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Walsh explained that the band members had input into the creation of the videos.
โ[W]e talked to them about our songs and our feelings when we wrote them and what the songโs about and the mood of the song and how we envision it,โ the guitarist noted. โI mean, Don had to explain the Hotel California that he saw in his mind when he wrote the song, and then they took that and went and put together something visually based on that. Itโs profound when you see it.โ
Walsh also admitted that he has to avoid watching the videos while performing, because heโll get too distracted.
โIโve tried to watch a bit, and it doesnโt work,โ he told Rolling Stone. โI was watching and I was looking up at the screen, Iโm going, โWow, look how big my nose is.โ And then I realized Iโm not playing the same song the rest of the band is playing. So none of us can do that. We have to look straight ahead, play the music, play good music like we know how to do together. Thatโs our assignment.โ
