If you’re under the age of 115 years old, chances are you’ve played video games at some point in your life. Maybe you’re an actual “gamer,” someone who plays constantly, immersing yourself into worlds and meandering through scrolling screens to rescue the princess, capture the villain, and pocket the gold.
Or maybe, like me, you’re someone who used to play video games here and there and the new technologies have shot way past and above your head. That’s okay, too. In fact, that’s what we want to remember today: those classic video game theme songs that we all heard growing up, from Super Mario to Zelda to Tetris and beyond.
