Alan Jackson really wanted concertgoers to have a good time at his show. During the country superstar’s performance at the Two Step Inn Festival in Texas, he encouraged fans to jump the barricades and come dance closer to the stage.
The moment occurred when Jackson was performing his 2008 hit, “Good Time.” Apparently unhappy about the empty space that was cordoned off in front of the stage, Jackson told the crowd to jump over the barriers and fill the area.

“Don’t worry, they won’t arrest you,” Jackson said at one point.
When security tried to step in, Jackson said, “Oh come on man, let the girl dance out here now. Come on! I’d love to see y’all down here. Come down here! Come on, they ain’t gonna mind it.”
Despite Jackson’s insistence, security very much minded the breach.
Eventually, the music was stopped and a notice popped up on the screens that read, “The show has been paused. The show will resume shortly.”
When the show did resume, Jackson poked fun at the hoopla.
“I guess they don’t like to have a good time!” he said. “Hey look, there’s a woman drinking a beer. Get her!”
Alan Jackson’s Final Tour
Jackson is currently in the midst of his farewell tour, Last Call: One More For the Road Tour. The singer is choosing to put an end to his career amid his battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth, a chronic neuropathy condition.
“Fans know when they come to my shows, they’re going to hear the songs that made me who I am—the ones they love,” Jackson said when the tour was announced. “I’ve been touring for over 30 years—my daughters are all grown, we have one grandchild and one on the way, and I’m enjoying spending more time at home. But my fans always show up to have a good time, and I’m going to give them the best show I can for this Last Call.”
Jackson has two more stops left on his left ever tour: Tampa, Florida, on April 26 and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 17.
