โI know what yโall are thinking,” Green said, almost apologetically. “But if yโall donโt mind, me and Ella have been on tour together, and Iโm obviously a big fan of her and her music. Weโve got a big song together, and some of yโall may have heard that one. But we also have another song that we havenโt played in front of anybody before. We are thinking about playing it in front of yโall tonight. If y’all donโt mindโฆ”

“So wish us luck here, and if we mess it up, just donโt post it, I guess,” said the “Worst Way” singer. “This is a song I wrote called โDonโt Mind If I Do.’โ
Riley Green began the first verse. The narrator sings of wishing he could show up at his ex-lover’s house to pick up the pieces of their broken relationship: Iโm one memory away / Of falling apart because / I might still love you / Hope you donโt mind if I doโฆ
Langley steered the song from the woman’s perspectiveโand it turns out she isn’t as “over it” as her ex thinks.
