CORDOBA UKULELE SERIES: Cordoba has partnered with renowned luthier Pepe Romero, Jr. to design a new line of premium all solid ukuleles. Available in four wood combinations, the 30T, 32T, 35T, and 35T S models will hit stores in the first quarter of 2013. Breaking away from the traditional Portuguese build and ornamentation of their other ukuleles, Cordoba has adopted Romero Jr.’s vision of building ukuleles as if they were small guitars by using traditional Spanish methods. The result is an incredibly lightweight tenor ukulele with a deeper and wider body, featuring a Spanish heel neck joint, fan bracing, and a wider fingerboard for easy playability. Romero Jr.’s ukuleles are currently played by a variety of artists including Ben Harper and Jack Johnson. Entirely handmade, the 30 Series are Cordoba’s first ukuleles featuring twelve frets to the body rather than fourteen. This creates greater movement of the soundboard, greater resonance and volume, and a warm, balanced tone. Each model features an abalone rosette, premium all solid woods, Grover tuning machines, and includes a durable Cordoba polyfoam case.
CORDOBA LUTHIER SERIES: Aimed at players looking for an all solid, concert level instrument at a reasonable price, the Luthier Series guitars are handmade by a small team of builders in a boutique workshop, using traditional Spanish construction techniques and carefully selected premium woods. The foundation of the Luthier Series rests upon building methods such as the Spanish Heel, hand carved necks and braces, and domed soundboards which are built on a traditional solera. New models include the C9 Dolce, a 7/8 size version of the C9, and the C12, which features a raised fingerboard for enhanced playability, and lattice bracing – perfect for the musician searching for a more modern style build, and big, open sound. All models in the Luthier Series feature a mother-of-pearl hand-inlaid rosette inspired by a 1920s Domingo Esteso rosette, and include a humidified hardshell case.
DIABLO FX SOUND CONTROL 6: The Sound Control 6 system is the first wireless all-in-one effects pedal management system which enables guitar players to turn multiple analog or digital effects on and off in one stomp. Sound Control 6 is unique because of its wireless design, which means no cords and power strips at the front of the stage or in the way at practice. The unit can be placed anywhere on stage and allows you to control up to six effects pedals or effects loops. Simply select the pedals you want to be “on” for up to four different channels. Now, you can turn on or off up to six pedals on each channel with one button push. When a pedal is not in use, Sound Control 6 bypasses it altogether.
